Belize is often overlooked as being a real Caribbean escape because of its more well-known island neighbors such as Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, and places like St. Lucia and Aruba. This little English-speaking country borders Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east which makes it an ideal Caribbean escape.
