Our aim is to help you balance the stresses of life by having an amazing escape nearby, one that does not require you to leave your home.
We will always provide the most valuable information available about these faraway places, the wonderful people who inhabit them, and about the artwork, hand-crafted items and design styles they use. We will strive to carry the most unique and authentic tropical products possible.

Our Mission
Our mission is to inform and educate others about amazing tropical places while raising awareness of some of the most remote yet beautiful places on Earth. We want others to know that there is so much more about these locations than the high-end resorts and iconic beaches. While those are wonderful and help to create truly memorable experiences, understanding as much as possible about these locations and their cultures will help you to create your own truly authentic tropical escape at home.
We want to empower local artisans and their communities by bringing their craftsmanship and beauty to you. Many of these artisans do not have regular access to global markets so we are doing what we can to establish the pathways needed to bring their creations to you while increasing their financial strength at the same time.
Most everything we offer is handmade and each product is produced in its country of origin which we proudly highlight in each product description. Nothing we carry is made in China.
By promoting the art and culture that these remote communities provide, these communities will know they are playing an important and meaningful role in people’s lives around the world. They will know that they are truly active and valuable members of the global community. They will know that where they come from has great value.
